Who We Are

Our mission

The Manna Foundation was birthed from the heart of Jaime and Gary Crick.

A young couple whose lives were turned upside down by the diagnosis of medical diagnosis of a condition called POTS

(Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome).

As a performer, Jaime became bedridden with the conditions. Losing their home, and livelihoods, this newly married couple with at the time 2 children were thrown into a battle against these conditions. That then went on to be a battle for their now four children. With a strong faith, they both sought answers for not just healing but how they could help others to walk through these conditions and support, help and overcome.

They Founded Manna Theatre Company a Performing arts mission, where by Jaime was able to teach even though at the time in 2007 she was unable to perform herself, she fought back. Now in 2023 Jaime and Gary have set up this foundation.

The Manna Foundation is a registered charity that helps provide respite breaks to those suffering from the same conditions.

Our First project is the Big Yellow Bus Project, a big American School bus, which is being transformed into a home on wheels, which is hopefully the first of many vehicles Jaime and Gary hope to renovate and turn into places of rest and recovery for those who apply to stay.

The Crick Family will be road-testing this as a family to see what it would be like to stay in, as they travel to get their heart and vision known over a period of a couple of months. In the Big Yellow Adventure.

The Big Vision

As part of the Manna Theatre Company Mission Jaime and Gary run they are seeking a parcel of land whereby they can dedicate a section for The Manna Foundation to allow those that need time to recover and rest the space in which to do so.

To donate to The Manna Foundation and help us renovate and create spaces for this vision to happen please click the button below.

Applications for Breaks will be considered from Summer 2024.
